These mills are intended for production of cylindrical and profile rolled (mainly copper) tubes
or rods from heavy non-ferrous (including high-heat) metals.
|
|
Advantages are:
deformation in the closed groove under conditions which are close to overall reduction
provides with 90-97% reduction (drawing by 10…40 times) during one pass; it secures the
rolling of the most hard deforming metals (Mo, Nb, W) directly from the powder billet;
manufacturing of products with higher mechanical and physical properties (homogeneity of
the structure, ductility and electric conduction);
during tube production, planetary mill replaces 2…4 mills of conventional design; it can
produce high-quality hollow section; during rod production, the mill replaces 15…20 passes
at rotary swagers or drawing equipment.
